A Journey into Motion Graphics
I've been engaging in self-guided learning of motion graphics, as I'm endlessly fascinated by how 2D elements can be animated to come alive. Since 2020, I've been taking on commissions, an experience that's taught me valuable lessons and allowed me to collaborate with various individuals. Although the commissioned videos span diverse subjects, I consistently apply core theories and concepts that underpin motion graphics.
Explainer Video: The Solar System
This project was part of my Motion II class! The assignment entailed creating an informative explainer video, and I opted for a brief educational science motion graphic centered around the solar system. My aim was to ensure that both the visuals and the information were comprehensible for elementary school children. Embracing 3D space and lighting effects, I found that showcasing the planets' rotations added a captivating dynamic. To enhance engagement, I included a voiceover, recognizing that auditory learning appeals more to young minds. All the graphics were personally crafted using Adobe Illustrator.
Connections: Clear & Bright
Connections, an innovative idol group spearheaded by Azia, is dedicated to creating unique English music accompanied by original music videos. They approached me to craft a music video for their final single, focusing on narrative storytelling and evoking emotions. Collaborating with them was an absolute delight, and crafting an original music video to complement their distinctive music was an incredibly gratifying experience! League of Legends Splash Art Parallax: Janna
One of my hobbies is indulging in video games! A delightful endeavor emerged as I embarked on a project using the official splash art from a game I enjoy. I dissected each layer of the character's accessories and separated her from the background, allowing me to animate them autonomously. Utilizing the puppeting tool, I achieved a seamless natural flow. Enhancing the scene's authenticity, I incorporated particles and special effects into the water and wind, resulting in a remarkably lifelike environment.
Stop Motion: Among Us
Among Us garnered immense popularity, prompting me to embark on a delightful stop-motion endeavor depicting a lively scene. To heighten authenticity, I integrated the official in-game music, adding an extra layer of realism. This passion project brought immense joy, as I meticulously crafted physical assets – from walls to characters – and orchestrated the entire scene atop a table.
